Child Labour is one of the burning issues affecting our society in a long term. Children need to be cared, and protected. They must be offered their essential facilities. These include food, homing, caring, education and other fun activities. Unfortunately most of the kids are exposed to labour at a very young age. Nearly 1 in 10 children are subjected to child labour worldwide, with some forced into hazardous work through trafficking.

This may be due to many reasons like Forced Labour, Human Trafficking, Child Slavery, Bonded Labour, Careless Parents, Marriage at a very Young age, and Descent based backgrounds. Child labour can result in extreme bodily and mental harm, and even death. It can lead to slavery and sexual or economic exploitation.

Children are Lower caste backgrounds are forced to do domestic work at a very young age for covering the income of the family. Many Children are human trafficked through criminal people in areas like Nepal, Ladak, Africa. Bonded Labour is known to be the modern age slavery, which is prevalent in countries like India and Pakistan. Child Marriages for small girls occur more in muslim communities and in the rural parts of India.

What can we do:

We as a society can run urge and imply the governments to pass acts restricting Child Labour worldwide. Through the help of institutions like UNICEF, Human Rights Watch, UNO, Government Bodies, Peace committees and Local charities.

Volunteer: You can volunteer to donate, offer help and even adopt some of the affected children based on our financial structure. You can donate or offer assistance through online platforms like UNICEF and Human Rights Watch

Act Personally: You can personally stop hiring children below the minimum age. You can remove children from hazardous work.

Conclusion:

Educating the child can be a solution for solving the problem of child labour. To provide compulsory primary education and in order to reduce the burden on parents to meet the expenditure for their children‟s education, while they are struggling for a day‟s meal, Governments had allotted funds. But due to the lack of awareness most of the poor families are not availing these facilities. So, proper steps have to be taken to create awareness.

Finally Child Labour can be aborted only if Poverty in the families is demolished. All Countries should enable various sources of incomes for families like Pensions, Unemployment Covers, Ration Kits, Maternity Benefits, Social Health Protection etc.
